The NCU Senior Women’s squad to play the first Future Series 50 overs fixture against North West Warriors at 10:45 on Thursday 8th August at Brigade CC.
Chair of Selectors Andrew Cowden commented on the third Future Series squad of the season:
“After an excellent start in the Future Series T20 competition, we now aim to back these good performances up in the 50 overs part of the competition starting with a tough fixture away against the North West Warriors this week.
The selectors have selected a squad of 12 for the fixture this week with several changes. Charlotte Lyons, Evey Keenan and Rebecca Lowe all return to the squad replacing Charvisri Geddam, Eva Wilson and Rachael Harrison. Sophie Hinds, Lucy Ly and Aoife Fisher are all unavailable. Abbi Harrison is available to play in this fixture as she starts her gradual return to play from injury. Abbi will keep for 25 overs with Georgia Wilson making her debut and keeping for the other 25 overs.
Amy Hunter and Cara Murray are all not eligible to play in this competition as they’re members of the Irish Women’s Performance squad.
The future series is part of our NCU Senior Women’s programme and we have again picked a young and exciting squad accompanied by our more experienced players.
Finally, Amy Caulfield will again captain the side I wish Amy and her team all the best on Thursday as we aim to make a positive start to the 50 overs element of the competition.”
