This week Northern Knights are back in inter-provincial action as they take on Munster Reds On Tuesday 28th (IP20) and Wednesday 29th (IP50) at Stormont.
Chair of selectors Andrew Cowden commented on the third squad announcement of the IP season:
We now focus on preparing fully to face the Munster Reds in both formats and continuing our positive start in both competitions.
The selectors have selected a squad of 13 for both games. Mark Adair, Paul Stirling, Ross Adair and Neil Rock are all unavailable as they are part of Ireland’s T20 World Cup squad and we wish them well. Theo van Woerkom continues to be unavailable, however, we are delighted to welcome Morgan Topping and Cian Robertson back from injury.
We’re pleased to announce that Oliver Metcalfe, Jack Dickson, Carson McCullough, Harry Dyer and Adam Leckey will all be loaned for the two fixtures to the Munster Reds to maximise their IP playing opportunities and to aid their development. All players remain a big part of our future plans at senior interprovincial level.
Finally, James McCollum will continue to captain the team and I wish him and his team all the best this week.
