Background:
The project commenced in 2021 and was delivered through a combination of design by Ebow (link: https://ebowdigital.com/) and build by ITW Consulting (link: https://www.itwglobal.com/) – the ITW element was value-in-kind as part of a sponsorship package.
The previous Cricket Ireland website was launched in 2012 and has now been decommissioned. We have migrated the news archive from the old website, so if looking for past articles, you can search our news archive.
Features:
The website has been built on mobile-first principles, acknowledging around 75% of website visitors come via mobile phone or tablet.
The new website now fully integrates livescoring, statistics, ticketing, and other 3rd-party services within the website’s theme and framework.
The homepage drives focus on news, and guidance on getting involved with cricket and will increasingly make video content more accessible.
Player profiles, an online shop, and fan information will expand over time.
For journalists, an Online Newsroom will provide information and updates on stories, accreditation, access to resources and assets, backgrounders, and links to information.
