Emerging Knights are to play against Leinster Lightning Bolts on Wednesday 9th (T20) and Thursday 10th (50 overs) August at Stormont.
Chair of Selectors Andrew Cowden commented on the third Emerging Knights squad announcement of the season:
“After a promising start in the future series competition, we now aim to finish the competition strongly against the current champions, Leinster Lightning Bolts, in the third and final set of fixtures.
The selectors have selected a squad of 13 players for the 50 over and T20 games against the Bolts with only James West unavailable due to being away representing Ireland Under 15’s.
We welcome back Max Burton from injury, however, Max is only available for the T20 fixture. With all other players available, unfortunately, there are a number of players who have played for the Emerging Knights this season but have missed out on selection for this round of fixtures. All these players will remain in our plans as we move into the winter phase of our programme.
Finally, I’d like to wish Paddy Beverland and his team all the best for their final two fixtures against the Bolts.”
