The Northern Cricket Union are today regretfully announcing the end of our partnership with McCartan Turkington Breen Solicitors as the premier sponsor for the Northern Knights team.
The announcement brings to an end a three year partnership which has coincided with a period of significant growth in the game in Ireland despite having to carefully navigate a path through the Covid pandemic. During this time the McCartan Turkington Breen brand has grown to become synonomous with the Northern Knights.
Aleric Turtle, partner at McCartan Turkington Breen, commented ‘The last three years as sponsor of the Northern Knights have created some fantastic cricket memories. It has been a pleasure to have been associated with the NCU and the Knights during this period. All at McCartan Turkington Breen wish the Knights well as they embark on the 2022 season.’
Commenting on the partnership, NCU Chief Executive Patrick Grimes said ‘We are obviously sad that McCartan Turkington Breen have decided to bring to an end the wonderful partnership which we have enjoyed over the last three seasons. The NCU owes much to McCartan Turkington Breen for the commitment which they have shown to the team and cricket during the challenging times which Covid brought.’
‘Together we have created many wonderful memories and it will be strange to see the Knights competing in 2022 without McCartan Turkington Breen’s familiar branding. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Aleric Turtle and all of the partners at McCartan Turkington Breen for their backing over the last three years. We wish McCartan Turkington Breen all the best for the future.’
