The NCU girls Performance u17 squad, sponsored by PwC, are travelling to Foyle College to play the North West u17 girls squad on the 6th-7th August. This will include an overnight stay, playing matches on both the 6th and 7th.
The format of the fixtures has been set up to allow the girls to play a range from T20 up to 30 overs per side. This will give them worthwhile and meaningful match experience. These fixtures come off the back of a previous visit to Bready for the girls in July, which coincided with the Ireland v Zimbabwe T20 International. On that occasion, there were two T20’s played, each team winning one game.
Any support over the two days at Foyle College next week is very welcome.
Coach Staci Maxwell had this to add about the upcoming fixtures. “Following our trip up to the North West in July, we have spent time tweaking areas for improvement in training. This will hopefully lead to an even better team performance in the matches at Foyle College“.
