NCU President Billy Boyd recently presented a cheque for £600.67 to the Alzheimer’s Society.
This followed a charity collection at this years Lagan Valley Steels T20 Final between Civil Service North and North Down.
Speaking at the presentation, Billy said: “The Union continues to recognise the memory of members who have given service to the Union, and to link this to local charities who work tirelessly through volunteers . This year it was decided to make a collection at the final of the Lagan Valley Steels T20 Cup in memory of Tom McCloy, a past Chairman, President and Honorary Life Member of the Union. In agreement with Tom’s family the collection was donated to the Alzheimer’s Society.”
