The Northern Cricket Union (NCU) were commended at a reception hosted by Culture arts and Leisure Minister, Carál Ní Chuilín, in the Long Gallery, Parliament Buildings, for their contribution and organisation of the cricket competition at the World Police and Fire Games (WP&FG) held during August.
The NCU organised the cricket competition, providing officials, scorers, equipment and umpires with the help of the Northern Ireland Association of Cricket Umpires and Scorers (NIACUS).
This was the first time Cricket was played at the WP&FG.
