NCU Coaches Association Launch

NCU Coaches Association Management
January 2014

On the back of a very successful introductory session held at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown in October 2013, we are delighted to be in a position to announce that the NCU Coaches Association will be officially launching on Tuesday 25th February 2014 at Campbell College Senior School from 7pm to 9pm.

This event promises to be a great opportunity for all coaches, at any level to become part of a Coaches Association that will offer outstanding benefits to its members, provide them with excellent support and personal development opportunities within their respective coaching pathways.

The NCU Coaches Association Launch Night will be led by Nigel Jones (Cricket Ireland’s Regional Development Officer in the NCU), Simon Johnston (Active Communities Cricket Coach & Ireland U15 Lead Coach) and Michael Hingston (Cricket Ireland/Active Communities Cricket Coach & Ireland U13 Lead Coach) and we are very pleased to announce that Andy McCrea (ECB Level 3 Coach, ECB Tutor and NCU Elite Coach) will be leading a workshop based session as well. During the evening, we are going to provide you with information on what to expect from the NCU Coaches Association, in terms of:

  • Overall plans for the year in terms of coach education courses and workshops
  • Opportunities to get involved in coaching within the NCU
  • How you will receive the latest coaching material and general information
  • What benefits you will receive by becoming a member
