Foyle College have knocked out holders Limavady Grammar School to reach the final of the Ulster Bank Ulster Schools Cricket Cup. They won by five wickets this evening and will now face RBAI in Wednesday’s final at Muckamore.
The holders had a miserable time with the bat, mustering only a total of 91 with just one meaningful contribution coming from Jamie W Millar with 36. Dawson Crumley with 4-37 and Gareth Connor 3-16 did the damage for Foyle whose batsmen, led by 20 from Andrew Austin, knocked off the required runs for the loss of five wickets.
Semi-Finals:
Foyle College 92-5 (A Austin 20, E Lapsley 19) beat Limavady GS 91 (JW Millar 36, D Crumley 4-37, G Connor 3-16) by 5 wickets
RBAI 151 (R Lyttle 32, B McGavock 27, J Martin 3-26) beat Down HS 97-9 (L McNamara 4-14) by 54 runs
