The second round of the Ulster Bank Schools Cricket Club has brought together last year’s finalists, RBAI and Regent House.
Both won their first round games with ease – holders Belfast “Inst” by nine wickets over Bangor Grammar School Seconds and Regent by 10 wickets over Limavady Grammar’s second string.
The first round results were:
Ballymena Academy 124-9, Larne GS 125-2 (R McKinley 68no). Larne won by 8 wickets
Sullivan Upper 120 (R Adair 40, M Adair 33, D Campbell 3-15), Strabane Academy 121-6 (W. McBrine 32, W McClintock 31). Strabane won by 4 wickets.
Grosvenor GS 151-7 (A Johnston 46, S Irvine 43), Belfast HS 71-9 (S Irvine 2-6, P Davison 2-8). Grosvenor won by 80 runs.
Lurgan College 156-6 (J Harrison 85, J Carlisle 3-24), BRA 158-4 (R Bryans 59no, J McClurkin 40, D McFadden 28). BRA won by 6 wickets.
Limavady GS Seconds 28, Regent House 30-0. Regent won by 10 wickets.
Bangor GS Seconds 62-7. (B Alexander 3-9), RBAI 63-1 (B Alexander 40no). RBAI won by 9 wickets.
Carrickfergus GS 153-9 (R Hood 82, A Fiddis 49, L Orderly 5-28), Grosvenor GS Seconds 100 (M Johnston 43). Carrickfergus won by 53 runs.
Methodist College Belfast 149-5 (J McCollum 56, A Pollard 2-32), Campbell College 152-9 (D Gibson 57no, J McCollum 5-12). Campbell won by 1 wicket.
Foyle College 184-6 (J Huey 50, A Fleming 46, C Allen 31), Campbell College Seconds 66 (H Campbell 3-8) Foyle won by 117 runs.
Ballyclare HS 168-2 (J Hunter 87no, M Briens 71), Limavady GS 170-6 (J Magge 41). Limavady won by 4 wickets.
RS Armagh 64 (R Moore 5-10), Wallace HS 65-1. Wallace won by 9 wickets.
Friends School, Lisburn, beat RBAI Seconds by 8 wickets.
