The official launch of the Jubilee Cup was held on Monday night in Maloney’s Diner, Lurgan.
The four team tournament has been organised by Victoria Cricket Club for the 21st April, and will incorporate teams from Lurgan, Donaghcloney and Millpark.
The Twenty20 competition will provide an interesting prelude to the cricket season, and should bring local cricket fans to Lurgan Park to witness a day of competitive cricket, when local pride will be very much at stake.
The captains from the four clubs were present at Maloney’s Diner to oversee the draw, carried out by Colin Malone.
Millpark were first to be drawn out, and they will face their local rivals Donaghcloney, which will begin proceedings in the first of the semi finals. The second semi final will see two of the NCU’s closest clubs clash, as Victoria take on their nearest neighbours, Lurgan.
