The Northern Cricket Union is pleased to confirm that it has agreed an extension to its partnership with Cartwrights Sports Ireland as the exclusive supplier of Dukes cricket balls for NCU competitions.
The renewed agreement builds on the successful collaboration established for the 2024 season, ensuring that Cartwrights Sports will continue to supply the full Dukes Ball range for use across all NCU competitions for a further three-year period. This extension provides continuity, quality assurance, and long-term stability for clubs throughout the Union.
To further support participation across all levels of the game, the NCU and Cartwrights Sports have also introduced two new, lower-cost ball options specifically designed for women’s and youth cricket. These new options maintain trusted Dukes performance standards while helping to reduce financial pressures on clubs that are developing sections of the sport.
Cartwrights Sports specialises in delivering an extensive range of cricket and sports equipment, alongside installation and renovation services for artificial and grass wickets, as well as comprehensive net system solutions. Their continued partnership with the NCU reflects a shared commitment to supporting cricket development across the region.

The extended partnership will ensure continued standardisation of balls across all NCU competitions, with all balls manufactured with the official NCU stamp and meeting agreed performance standards at every level.
