NCU Announce Under 15 and Under 17 Girls Squads for Interprovincial Fixtures

Jun 25, 2025 | General News

The Northern Cricket Union (NCU) is delighted to announce the Carson McDowell Pathway squads for the Under 15 and Under 17 Girls ahead of the upcoming Cricket Ireland interprovincial fixtures starting this week.

The Under 15s will get their campaign underway today (Wednesday) at 12:00 at Stormont (Lower), with the Under 17s set to follow on Thursday at 12:00, also at Stormont (Lower).

These fixtures mark the beginning of an exciting summer programme for the girls’ pathway, following an intensive winter and early summer development schedule.

NCU Talent Pathway Lead Jonny Waite shared his thoughts on the journey so far:

“After a long winter programme with over 20 weeks of coaching, and then four weeks of our outdoor Challenge Series, it is great to have our Under 15 and Under 17 squads selected for the summer programme. Huge congratulations to all selected, and to their clubs and schools for the role they’ve played in their development.

We are very excited to have the first-ever summer tours programme for these age groups, heading to Jersey, where we have developed a strong relationship over a number of years, and we’re delighted to be taking a group there for the first time. We’ll also be bringing our U17s to Bromsgrove, further strengthening our connection to the English Counties.”

We are excited to provide these playing opportunities to continue the development of our young cricketers.

The NCU would like to extend our sincere thanks to Carson McDowell for their continued support of the NCU Player Pathway. Their commitment plays a vital role in helping us develop the next generation of cricketers across the region. We are looking forward to seeing the new pathway kit, provided by Wildwing and proudly featuring Carson McDowell, making its official debut today as the U15 Girls take the field at Stormont.
