The Northern Cricket Union (NCU) is proud to unveil a brand-new playing kit for its Player Pathway programme, made possible through the continued support of leading law firm, Carson McDowell LLP.

The partnership with Carson McDowell LLP, now several months underway, has already made a visible impact. The firm’s branding has featured prominently on training t-shirts worn during the recent Chennai Super Kings Academy trip and a series of pre-season friendly matches involving girls’ age group teams.

Designed collaboratively and manufactured by Wildwing, the new playing shirt presents a fresh and modern take on traditional NCU colours. A dynamic red and navy palette pays tribute to the legacy of the NCU, Northern Knights, and NCU Women, sides the Player Pathway participants aim to emulate. A striking flash pattern across the front of the shirt adds energy, reflecting the momentum and ambition of emerging talent within the union.
Carson McDowell’s Managing Partner, Roger McMillan, said: “The new kits look fantastic”.
He added: “At Carson McDowell, we are committed to supporting the local community and contributing to the development of sporting talent in Northern Ireland. The NCU Pathway plays a crucial role in shaping young female and male cricketers, and we are delighted, and honoured, to see our brand on the kits. Our support aims to help these players achieve their full potential.”
NCU Chief Executive Callum Atkinson welcomed the new kits, stating:
“Having such a bold and exciting kit really epitomises the partnership. We are thrilled to have Carson McDowell on board as the exclusive sponsor of our Pathway and their support will be instrumental in providing the best possible environment for our young cricketers to develop and achieve their potential.”
The new kit will be worn throughout the 2025 season as the Carson McDowell Pathway teams take to the field across multiple age groups.
