The NCU is delighted to have successfully reached the public voting stage for four projects across Belfast through “Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing – Your Vote, Your Choice!”

Public Voting Events & Project Details
North Belfast
📍 Venue: Girdwood Community Hub
⏰ Time: 4:00 – 6:30 PM
We held our first event yesterday at Girdwood Community Hub, where our project focused on boys’ and girls’ challenge series events. These events provide participatory opportunities for 11- to 17-year-olds within our coaching environments.
South Belfast
📍 Venue: Olympia Leisure Centre
📅 Date: Thursday, 13th February (Tomorrow)
⏰ Time: 3:30 – 6:00 PM
This project also focuses on our challenge series, creating opportunities for young players to develop their skills.
East Belfast
📍 Venue: Skainos Centre
📅 Date: Tuesday, 18th February
⏰ Time: 4:00 – 6:30 PM
Our project in East Belfast is NCU Coach Education. Over two days in the summer, two recognized tutors will deliver free workshops for coaches and players. These workshops will focus on the technical aspects of cricket and how to apply coaching principles to players of varying skill levels.
West Belfast
📍 Venue: St Comgall’s, Divis Street
📅 Date: Thursday, 20th February

This project is focused on Community Cricket Programmes for both primary and secondary school pupils. We aim to deliver outreach sessions in schools and connect participants to local cricket sessions in the evening. These sessions will run long-term, providing consistent engagement, and will be completely free for participants.
