Lagan Valley Steels T20 Finals Day

Jul 20, 2024 | General News

The stage is set at The Lawn, Waringstown for LVS T20 Finals Day as 2 teams will stake a claim for the first silverware of the 2024 season.

After a complete washout of all NCU fixtures today it is hoped that the forecasted afternoon rain will avoid the Waringstown area to allow for 2 exciting games of T20 cricket. First up at 11 am is the LVS T20 Trophy final and a derby game between Donacloney Mill and Lurgan. Both teams won comfortably in the semi-finals by 8 and 9 wickets respectively and are evenly matched going into the final.

At 3 pm, competition holders Waringstown face off against premier league rivals Lisburn in the LVS T20 Cup Final. In contrast to the Trophy finalists, both teams had tight semi-final games and got over the line by 12 runs and 4 wickets respectively.

If the weather plays ball, it will surely be an action-packed day of cricket with many stars on show. Thanks in advance to competition sponsors LVS for their continued support, Waringstown CC and their volunteers for hosting and setting up the ground, our charity partner Dementia NI and ABC Council for the temporary seating and tents.
