Waringstown win the Irish Twenty 20 Finals, and CIYMS keep control of the Robinson Services Premier League.

Robinson Services Premier League

CIYMS were pushed hard by CSNI, on Saturday, before winning by 4 wickets. Matt McGillivray produced an all round performance, scoring 64 not out, to ensure CIYMS surpassed the CSNI total of 195 for 8, in which he had taken three wickets. CIYMS now hold an eight point advantage over Waringstown, with four fixtures to play.

At Shaw's Bridge Instonians had a 91 run victory over Carrickfergus. The home side scored 282 for 6, with major contributions from Shane Getkate (76), and Robert McKinley (67). Matthew McCord returned impressive bowling figures of 5 wickets for 36 runs, for Carrickfergus. Andrew White and Ben Rose each took three wickets as Carrickfergus were bowled out for 191, with only Michael Gilmour reaching 50.

On Sunday, Carrickfergus produced a stunning performance to beat Armagh by 171 runs, in a Match 2 twenty over contest. Michael Gilmour scored 135 not out, and Max Burton 103 as Carrickfergus set Armagh a daunting 276 for 2 wickets. Armagh were never in the hunt and finished on 105 for 8 with Matthew McCord taking 3 for 17.

Irish Twenty 20 Finals

Waringstown defeated the reigning Irish Twenty 20 Champions Clontarf on Saturday. Only 7 runs separated the teams, as the NCU side now hold six trophies at The Lawn.

In a game reduced in overs due to the weather Waringstown scored 134 without loss in fifteen overs, with James Hall scoring 66 and Adam Dennison 61. With further reductions, Clontarf had to score 80 in 7.3 overs, however they fell agonisingly short on 73 for 5, with Bill Coghlan 38 not out.


Ulster Plate Final

On Sunday Muckamore II were beaten by Donemana II in the final of the Ulster Plate by 208 runs.
