NCU GMcG Junior Cup Final Preview

Robin Walsh

NCU Junior Cup PromoInstonians Seconds and CSNI Seconds will seek to put club records back on track when they meet in the GMcG Junior Cup final at Muckamore on Saturday (start time is 11am)

For CSNI Seconds victory would put an end to a losing record of two Junior Cup finals in the past four years. They lost two years ago to Armagh and to North Down Seconds in 2013.

For Instonians victory would avoid double final disappointment following the senior side's defeat by CIYMS in last Saturday's AJG Challenge Cup - and prevent Richard White from following in his younger brother Andrew's footsteps with a loser's medal.  And the same goes for former Instonians captain Eugene Moleon, the only senior finalist named in Saturday's squad of 12.

CSNI Seconds have named the following squad of 13:
W Horwood (capt), T Dalzell,  N McMinn, C Beverland, J McKinney, A Johnston, A Hodgins,  N Hodgins, S Ross, C Harkness, C Andrews, S Dyer, Rahul Gondhia.

The Instonians Seconds squad of 12 are:
M Warke (capt), E Moleon, D Metcalfe, M Lightbody, R McCarthy, J Hunter, L McNamara, B McNamara, J McCabe, T Luke,  M Humphrey, R White.
