CSNICC collect a hat trick of trophies at Belfast City Council Sports Awards

CSNI

Civil Service North of Ireland Cricket Club (CSNICC) are celebrating after winning three awards at the recent Belfast City Council Sports Awards.

Mike Hodgins won the Pathways to Clubs award which deservedly recognised Mike's hard work in the local schools cricket programme. CSNI Under 15's were awarded the Junior Team of the Year following their Graham Cup success and Gary Wilson won the Male Sports Personality of the Year.

CSNICC Chairman Ivan McMinn said: "It is a fantastic achievement for the club to win three awards at this prestigious event.  The work which we are undertaking with local schools is part of our strategy for the long term growth of our Club and this would only have been possible through the foresight and determination of Mike and we are grateful for the financial assistance from Belfast City Council to help us deliver the programme.

"This investment in our youth has been further recognised by the success of our Graham Cup winning Under 15 team who won the Junior Team of the Year Award. Gary's recognition as Male Sports Personality is a further testament to the increasing profile which cricket has in our city.

"This success gives the whole Club a boost as we look forward to the start of the 2016 season."

The Belfast City Council Sports Awards were held on Friday 18 March, at Belfast City Hall.
